LIVE MUSIC - Heathanz Sinz w/ Scarz

**** "Heathanz Sinz is an 80’s style, groove metal band from Surrey BC, Canada. Heathanz Sinz was formed in the living room of Randy Larocque in 2019. Randy got back into music after a 20-year hiatus and started writing songs in his living room while learning to record from home. His brother Dave bugged him for years to get a band going again. So, after many lineup changes over a 3-year period, he found the perfect mix.

Julian Romero joined in January of 2022, hailing from Colombia. After a few members left May of 2022, Randy sat down with Julian to discuss the future. They discussed what they were looking for in bandmates. A combination of skills and attitude. Julian got more involved in the writing department and rewrote the lead parts for the songs, added some of his own style of rhythm to accompany Randy's heavy-handed chugging. In 2023 Julian wrote a couple of songs, Agony and False Prophet which ended up on the latest EP called "Cold Dead Hand".

Summer of 2022, Gustavo Rampazzo joined the band at the lead vocals spot. His Brazilian background and love for heavy music, was the perfect fit to convey the stories the band was about to tell. Gustavo (Gus) started to write lyrics as well as modify the lyrics from past songs to accommodate with singing style.

Tyler Dennis stepped in on drums in the spring of 2023 and brought his intense playing style to enhance and bring out the heaviness they had been looking for.

While the playing style of Tyler made the music heavier, it never lost that foot stomping, headbanging groove.

Keith Soltess joined the band at Bass guitar in May of 2023 bringing his punk background into the mix. He rewrote the bass lines from the previous material to give it more of a heavy groove and started writing parts for the new songs on the EP.

With Julian and Randy both at the writing desk, new songs are coming together combining Randy's old school, headbanging metal with Julian's love for Prog Metal. The combination has become their own unique style. At rehearsal, all members share their input to the songs and they experiment with endings, intros and timing changes.

"We like to think of ourselves as more then a band, we are friends. We hang out and have BBQ's with our families. I can't imagine playing shows without any of these guys beside me." - Randy

They enjoy what they do, playing with their band mates, and in front of an audience. With the new members, there is a a new era of heavier Heathanz Sinz. Stay tuned for our next upcoming EP/LP in the fall of 2024! "
